How to Get a Turkish Student Visa 2026 – Complete Guide
The Turkish student visa is the first step before heading to Turkey. This guide explains all procedures in sequence for 2026.
Do You Need a Visa? Most Arab nationalities need a study visa. Always verify with the Turkish embassy in your country.
Required Documents: 1) Valid passport (6+ months beyond entry). 2) Official university acceptance letter. 3) Two 5×5 white-background photos. 4) Bank statement ($300-500/month). 5) Health insurance. 6) Completed visa form. 7) Visa fee ($30-80 by nationality). 8) Criminal record clearance (some countries).
Where to Apply: Turkish embassy/consulate in your country, or accredited VFS Global centers.
Processing Time: 5 business days to 4 weeks. Apply at least 1 month before travel.
After Arrival: Within 30 days apply for Student Residence Permit (Öğrenci İkamet İzni) at the Migration Directorate. Bring: notarized rental contract or university housing proof, 4 photos, passport copy, acceptance letter, financial proof, valid Turkish health insurance.
Warning: Never overstay your visa or residence. Fines and travel bans apply. Renew at least 60 days before expiry.
